v2.0
October 14, 2026
Redesigned Bookrise
Bookrise 2.0 has been redesigned from the ground up to look and feel native. Make Bookrise yours with many new themes, including seasonal ones available for a limited time. The new Search tab finds books in your library and online.

Bookrise on iPad
Bookrise now runs on iPad, in portrait and landscape, and alongside your other apps.

Your month in covers
The Reading Calendar in Insights now shows the cover of every book you read each day. Tap a busy day to cycle through its books, then share the month as an image with your choice of background, layout and stats. You can also pick the day your week starts.

Richer notes
Notes have a new editor with headings, quotes, checklists, bold, italic and links. Scan a passage from a photo of a page and pick the lines you want to keep. Share a note as Markdown or as an image card with the book’s cover. Reading Mode now shows the notes you wrote during the session.

Additional Improvements and Fixes
- A big accessibility update: Bookrise now works much better with VoiceOver and Voice Control, supports text up to 200%, and follows Reduce Motion and Increase Contrast.
- Choose your covers: search for one, paste an image link, pick a photo, or use the new cover camera, which finds the edges of the cover and straightens it. Your covers are saved in iCloud Drive.
- Import your library from Goodreads, StoryGraph, Hardcover, Calibre or Bookmory, or match the columns of any CSV file yourself. Bookrise looks up missing covers after the import.
- Timed reading sessions are now unlimited for everyone.
- Change the date you started or finished a book, and edit the pages of a reading session.
- Fixes for many issues across the app, plus performance and usability improvements.
